I have never tested Torchlight 2 or Seven Days to Die, but Call Of Duty 4 (aka Modern Warfare) should be playable on recent hardware. That said, it should run most games at playable speed. It is hand-optimized for a few popular games / benchmarks like Unigine and the source engine, but otherwise it runs at around 40% of Windows performance in OpenGL applications (I tested that with UT2004, Lightsmark, Unigine Heaven and Xonotic). In crossover however it is being recougnized as a 2900XT resulting in not fully supporting the full 2GB of VideoMemory and also very likely not using most of the gfx cards cores.

However for some reason my graphics device having the latest propetary generated AMD Beta driver installed and being recougnized correctly in Ubuntu 14.04 and working fine so far with native applications. It installs mostly all of my progs and games very simple and without any complications. Linux Is at the highest point of it's existance gaming wise, but its not ready for the average gamer.I use Crossover since almost a week now and really love it.

We still have a lack of proprietary drives and peripherals software support Manjaro still has issues with SSL Certificates and other security concerns that make the distro completely unrecommendable. It still has issues with the graphical store (which are getting fixed btw). People online say its an issue regarding secure boot, but secure boot Is disabled.

Wanna talk of all the issues Pop!_OS regarding boot and stuff? Every time I try to boot It from my main PC It says "you have to load the kernel first". Ubuntu, for example, might kill your graphical instance just by adding a PPA (It happened to me just yesterday with ppa:ernstp/mesarc). All other launchers run fairly well through wine and forks but its not optimal.ĮDIT: We also have "noob-proof" distros that are COMPLETELY BROKEN. Launching games from Heroic sometimes Is problematic even because altough the game has a native build, Epic Games just ships Windows or Mac ones. We still have almost no other Native Launcher other than Steam.
We still have issues with some games that are the key for Linux's commercial success such as League of Legends (which still has issues, especially on Intel and nVidia graphics cards), Valorant (which Is not compatible yet), Warzone etc. Click to expand.On Linux you cant stream audio or use the Krisp noise reduction thin on discord g for example.
